This magnificent Kazak rug, originating from Pakistan, is an exquisite example of the ancient art of weaving. Crafted with hand-carded wool and a cotton warp, it offers unmistakable sturdiness and softness. Its density of 100,000-150,000 knots/sqm and thickness of 1.1 cm attest to the high quality of craftsmanship and its lasting durability.
The main field of the rug is dominated by a vibrant light blue, enriched by a captivating design of geometric medallions. These motifs, typical of the tribal style, are expertly woven in shades of red, orange, and yellow, creating a fascinating visual contrast. The color variation effect, known as abrash, adds depth and character to the rug, highlighting the artisanal nature of the wool dyeing.
The rug's frame is a succession of multiple borders. The widest, in a warm beige tone, features a series of geometric diamond-shaped motifs, interspersed with traditional symbols. The thinner borders, in red and dark blue, elegantly frame the entire piece, completing the chromatic and stylistic harmony. This rug is an ideal piece to add warmth and a touch of authentic artisanal beauty to any room.
