This precious Nain 9La rug is a magnificent example of Persian textile art, renowned for its exceptional fineness and elegant design. Originating from Persia, each knot tells a story of tradition and mastery, typical of hand-knotted masterpieces.
The rug features a classic central medallion design, a symbol of harmony and perfection, standing out against a field of intense crimson red. The medallion, surrounded by an intricate arabesque of floral motifs such as palmettes and leaves, is adorned with lustrous silk details that catch the light, creating a fascinating tactile and visual contrast.
The corner spandrels harmoniously echo the medallion's design, with shades of ivory and grayish-blue that delicately blend with the central red. The border, composed of several bands, is richly decorated with small floral motifs and intertwining vines, predominantly in tones of cream, light grey, and midnight blue, beautifully framing the entire rug.
Crafted with hand-carded wool and silk on a cotton warp, this Nain offers a density of 400,000-450,000 knots/sqm, testament to its superb quality and durability. With a thickness of approximately 1 cm, it is a robust yet refined piece, capable of imparting an atmosphere of luxury and sophistication to any room.
