This magnificent Tabriz rug originates from the renowned Persian city of Tabriz, one of the oldest and most prestigious centers for rug production. Ranked among the finest oriental rugs, this specimen is a textile work of art that combines artisanal mastery with a rich aesthetic tradition, destined to enrich any environment with its presence.
The design features an imposing, multilobed central medallion that stands out against the brilliant red field. This medallion is richly decorated with stylized floral motifs in shades of blue, cream, light blue, and pink. In the four corners of the field, there are quarter medallions, known as spandrels, which harmoniously echo the central design. The field, in a vibrant ruby red color, is completely covered by an elegant all-over design of floral motifs and vines, creating an effect of great visual depth. The majestic main border, in midnight blue, is adorned with an elaborate intertwining of palmettes, rosettes, and flowering tendrils, flanked by subtle secondary borders that enhance its elegance.
Crafted with high-quality hand-carded wool for the pile and cotton for the warp, this Tabriz rug offers a soft and durable surface. Its knot density, between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, attests to the fineness of the weaving and its durability. The thickness of approximately 1 cm contributes to its robustness and comfort. The use of natural fibers and artisanal care guarantee a work of art destined to last over time, enriching any space with its timeless charm.
