This splendid Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is an authentic expression of tribal textile art. Crafted with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it features a knot density of 100,000-150,000 per square meter and a thickness of 1.1 cm, ensuring durability and a pleasant feel to the touch.
The design stands out for its traditional geometric pattern, with a central lozenge medallion prominent on the main field. Stylized cross-shaped motifs and other tribal elements are harmoniously distributed throughout the field and border band, creating a visually rich and balanced aesthetic. The presence of abrash (color variations) highlights the craftsmanship of the dyeing process and the use of natural dyes.
The color palette is dominated by a bright sky blue, which imparts a serene and inviting atmosphere. This is beautifully balanced by shades of cream in the border, framing the inner field, and by accents of salmon pink and dark navy blue in the decorative motifs. This rectangular rug is perfect for enriching classic or modern environments with a touch of history and culture.
