This authentic Kazak rug, originating from Afghanistan, is a magnificent example of tribal textile art. Its central field features a refined grey tone, enriched by a large central geometric medallion and a series of secondary motifs arranged in an all-over design. The chromatic palette includes vibrant accents of red, blue, green, and cream, creating a harmonious and lively contrast.
The cream borders are delineated by a succession of traditional geometric motifs that beautifully frame the main design, adding depth and character. The natural color variation, known as abrash, attests to the artisanal craftsmanship and the use of natural dyes, giving each piece a unique and unrepeatable character.
Crafted with excellent quality hand-carded wool, this rug is knotted on a cotton warp, ensuring durability and a pleasant feel. The knot density, ranging between 100,000 and 150,000 knots/sqm, indicates meticulous and resistant workmanship. With a thickness of approximately 1.1 cm, it offers notable comfort and a solid presence in any setting. Ideal for enriching both classic and contemporary spaces, bringing a touch of history and culture.
