This magnificent Kazak rug, originating from the ancient weaving traditions of Afghanistan, is a work of art that combines history with vibrant design. Expertly woven using hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, it offers unmistakable robustness and softness to the touch.
Its color palette is dominated by a delicate blush pink that forms the main field, elegantly contrasted by rich details in dark blue and sky blue, and enhanced with touches of cream. These pastel tones create a warm and inviting atmosphere, ideal for infusing character into any space. The authenticity of the artifact is accentuated by slight color variations, known as "abrash", which attest to the artisanal nature of the dyeing process.
The heart of the rug features a majestic central medallion, typical of Kazak rugs, standing out with its complex geometry and stylized floral patterns. The medallion is framed by an intricate field of smaller geometric and vegetal motifs, arranged with balance and symmetry. The border, also decorated with traditional patterns that echo the field's colors, harmoniously completes the composition, defining the space and adding depth to the overall design.
With a density of approximately 100,000-150,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of 1.1 cm, this rug is not just a decorative element, but a true investment in a piece of artisanal history, capable of enriching both classic and contemporary interiors with its presence.
