This magnificent Tabriz rug, originating from the historical region of Persia, is a textile masterpiece that embodies the elegance and richness of Eastern manufacturing tradition. Crafted from hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp, it boasts a remarkable density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1 cm, ensuring durability and a pleasant softness to the touch.
Its design is dominated by a vibrant ruby-red field, serving as a backdrop for an elaborate all-over pattern of floral motifs, including stylized palmettes, elegant arabesques, and characteristic boteh (also known as paisley) patterns. A majestic central medallion stands out, richly decorated in shades of dark blue, cream, and touches of light blue and green, surrounded by pendants that echo the same ornamental details. The contrasting border features a deep dark blue ground, on which an intricate succession of floral motifs and cartouches unfolds, delimited by thin inner and outer bands in cream and ochre tones that enhance its structure.
The chromatic harmony, with intense red blending with midnight blue and details in cream, green, and light blue, creates a visually striking impact. This Tabriz is not just a rug, but a piece of history and culture, capable of enriching any setting, from classic to contemporary, with prestige and warmth.
