This splendid rug, originating from Pakistan and belonging to the Kazak type, captures attention with its bold design and vibrant colors. Masterfully crafted using hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, it offers a robust texture and exceptional durability. The knot density, ranging between 100,000 and 150,000 knots per square meter, attests to the high quality of its artisanal craftsmanship.
The central motif is dominated by a large geometric medallion, finely outlined and rich in stylized details. This medallion is surrounded by a series of secondary elements and smaller geometric figures, creating a harmonious visual balance on the cream-colored field. The vivid red borders are decorated with a succession of rosettes and angular motifs that elegantly frame the rug.
The main colors include scarlet red, various shades of light blue and blue, yellow, and green accents, all imbued with a slight chromatic variation known as "abrash," which adds depth and character. With a thickness of approximately 1.1 cm, this rug is not merely a furnishing item but a textile work of art that brings a touch of tradition and warmth to any room, ideal for living rooms or studies.
