This magnificent Tabriz rug, originating from Persia, embodies the richness and complexity of oriental textile art. It is skillfully hand-knotted, using hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, ensuring durability and a soft texture. Its remarkable knot density, ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm, testifies to the high quality and fineness of the design details. With a thickness of approximately 1 cm, it offers welcoming comfort and excellent wear resistance.
The design features a prominent large central medallion, richly adorned with stylized floral motifs, dominating the intense red field. The four corners of the field echo the details of the medallion, creating visual harmony. The entire field is embellished with an all-over design of palmettes, rosettes, and flowering vines, arranged with great balance. The predominance of vibrant, deep red is elegantly balanced by details in dark blue, cream, gold, and touches of light blue and green, enhancing its complexity. An elaborate frame, composed of main and secondary borders, encloses the design, adding further depth and character. Every element is the result of an ancient tradition, making this Tabriz a timeless work of art, capable of enriching any setting, from classic to contemporary, with elegance and warmth.
